It’s been forever since my last post, or so it seems. I have been low on energy and creative motivation and had high hopes for Christmas break to recover and regenerate. In the end I spent most of my holiday sick in bed, or at least as much as I could spent in bed with 2 little kids around, so no regenerating has happened π….
After we’ve been back I slowly picked up my projects. First couple of weeks I spent mostly spinning, and here are few pictures:
I also managed to finish a first project from my handspun wool.
It’s just a simple cowl, since I only had 100 grams roving which is not enough for decent size scarf…
Also last week I had a look into the stash of unfinished project and after almost a year resting in a drawer, I pulled out a blanket I was making for my boy and decided to finish it.
I still need 3 more squares to make and then I have to decide what way i’m going to combine them and what border I will use.
Hopefully this time around I will manage to finish it, and the blanket won’t end up in a drawer for another year π
Three blocks seems like a good place to start, especially if your energy is low, and the first is already halfway! Your spinning looks yummy! Beautiful colors…did you dye it too?

Welcome back π So sorry to hear you haven’t been well and hope you will now steadily improve. Lovely spinning and your cowl looks very cosy. It is very satisfying to make something from handspun isn’t it ? π

thank you! with a 3yo and 6months old it is very difficult to rest, but I’m feeling much better. I’m really excited about the spinning improvement I’ve made and also I’m all prepared to battle the drawer with unfinished projects this year π
